Why Get A Small Ferris Wheel Ride?

Why Get A Small Ferris Wheel Ride?

When most people think of ferris wheels, they think of huge metal structures that take them dozens, perhaps hundreds of feet up in the air. They think of being able to sit with a friend or a lover up near the moonlight, seeing the entire surroundings and enjoying the view. They think of being able to nearly touch the sky, enjoying all that there is to see.

Why, then, would anyone ever want to get a small ferris wheel? Surely if you had a small ferris wheel instead of a huge ferris wheel, no one would want to ride on it, right? It just wouldn’t make sense to get a small ferris wheel ride!

Only, that’s not actually true. The real truth is that there are a number of advantages in getting a small ferris wheel ride instead of a huge ferris wheel ride. First and foremost, it’s important to understand that most people will ride whatever ferris wheel the amusement park or carnival has available. They may wish that the ferris wheel was larger, but as long as they’re having a good time at your park or carnival, all they’ll remember is having had a good time. They won’t remember that the ferris wheel wasn’t twenty feet higher in the air.

So once you accept that people will ride whatever ferris wheel ride you have available, the advantages of a small ferris wheel ride over a large one become quite obvious. They’re much less expensive, for starters. They’re just smaller, which means they don’t have as many parts nor as much steel to put them together. That means they don’t cost as much to buy. Not only do they not cost as much to buy, they don’t cost as much to maintain, either. You’ll need less oil, you’ll need less material to keep them patched up, they just plain don’t cost as much.

They’re also easier to manage. You won’t have to worry about needing a huge number of workers to get the thing torn down and set up every time. You can use fewer workers, which means you’ll have to pay fewer workers. That means that they’re once again that much less expensive than worrying about a huge ferris wheel ride. And since they’re smaller, that means they’re easier to haul around. When you travel from town to town, you’ll need less space to get them carted along with you. Less space means more space for other things. It also means less gas that you need to make the trip.

Plain and simple, there are huge advantages to a small ferris wheel ride. A large ferris wheel ride may be a neat selling point, but it’s just not a realistic thing for many amusement parks and carnivals. Most amusement parks and carnivals can’t afford the kind of upkeep that a huge ferris wheel ride requires. So don’t worry if you can’t afford one. Just get a small ferris wheel ride. It will be plenty.
